External Hard Drive not showing on my computer
I have a buffalo external hard which was working well but when i removed it and try to plug it again, it did not show on my computer. it successfully installed but not showing on my computer...when i i went to disk management and try to intialized it using MBR it gives me an error saying "incorrect Function". i have all my school work inside it and i am so worried and upset tha i cannot recover my hard drive. The laptop i am using is a dell latitude 2120. i really need help :(

Hi cyel,
I would like to know if you have checked with a different USB external hard drive or flash drive in the same USB port on the laptop. Also, please let me know the exact make and model of the USB external hard drive. I would be able to search for any available firmware for the drive. Please check if the same External harddrive is detected on different computer.
Please reply for further help.

yes i have checked with other usb flash drives and external using the same port on my laptop and they are working fine.. buffalo mini station.500 GB (red) / HD-PZ500U3R s/n 75545224305752

Hi Cyel,
So it was working then it stopped. Most likely a registry issue. What's the OS?
