The Philips CDD5263 CDRW/DVD-ROM Drive. It should read CD and DVD media, but should only write to CD media. It cannot write to DVD media. Can you be more specific about what happens when you try to buen a CD? What burning software are you using? How are you trying to burn the disc?

Hey SkyBird thanks for the ur willingness to help but i finally managed to get the drive working with the original firmware for it
i found here http://forum.rpc1.org/viewtopic.php?t=30378 so apparently my firmware some sort of bug.
Works like it should now and by the way i'm now using ImgBurn-v2.5.0.0
So the solution for me was to ReFlash the drives original firmware to UD91 and a burning application that supported all of my drives features.
