How change DVD drive from slave to master?

LG GMA-4080N DVD burner just installed. Will not boot. Suspect is is set up as a slave drive. No jumpers.

 

How do I change the slave/master setting? Anyone know a specific firmware revision that would allow me to do this, and preserve the DL RAM-capable functions? This drive comes in various versions, all of which are changed via firmware updates from various manufacturers. Some will delete DL and RAM functions after flashing. Help!

 

Maybe there is a way to set it up via the BIOS, but I have not found a way.
