I need help with Dimension 4100 , log in and boot up

I have a Dimension 4100 which I recently bought from an business. When I go to start-up it always  asks for "Enter Current password" and I was not given the password. Is there any way that I can by-pass this? I do not have any disksfor the computer...There were serveral computers hooked up to a server making each one a workstation. that may or may not have a bearing on this situation. I can't get past "Enter CURRENT Password". Comments or suggestions please...

Is this at the BIOS level, or under Windows - and which version of Windows is it?

Remove the cover and locate jumper BIOS CONF on the system board. Move the jumper so pins #2 and 3 are shorted. Replace the cover, plug in and boot the system. Press enter at the maintenance screen and then YES to clear all passwords. Press F10 to save changes, exit and shut down. Remove the cover, put the jumper back on the #1 and 2 pins, replace cover and you're all set.
