Kindly try playing some branded discs and check if the drive works fine.
Set 2: In case if the issue persists, kindly follow the steps below:
Click the Start button, click start search.
Type Regedit, and press enter.
Click the plus sign (+) next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.

Click the plus sign (+) next to Control.
Click the plus sign (+) next to Class.
Click {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}.
On the right side of the window, click UpperFilters.
Click Edit on the menu bar.
Click Delete, and then click OK.
On the right side of the window, click LowerFilters.
Click Edit on the menu bar.
Click Delete, and then click OK.
Click File, and then click Exit.
Please close this window and restart the system, so that these settings may get refreshed.
Kindly reboot the system and check if the drive works fine.
Set 3: Update the system BIOS. Kindly follow the link mentioned below to update the system BIOS:

I deleted the lower filter. The upper was not present. I did a restart. Drive did not work. I moved to set 3. I did a download to my desktop. I attempted installation but the file will not continue to install because my battery is at 0% and will not charge. I have purchased several batteries but they never last.
