Has anyone tried a 500 Gb hard drive in the 1720? If so, details?

If it'll work with a 320, it'll work with a 500 - there's no barrier in between.

The problem is usually with the height of the drive - you need a 2.5" 9.5 mm drive.
The Hitachi 500s are 12.5 mm drives and won't fit. I don't know who else has released these but check the physical drive specs.
