NVME card is not visible in server

We have got Intel SSD 600P series NVME ssd drive

However on adding to server this is not visible

Can any one let us know how to install OS on NVME drive ?

Is it necessary to first install an OS on other drive and then mount NVME ?

First, you need to verify that the server supports NVMe -- it may or may not.  It would have to be a very new system in order to have NVMe support.  What model system do you have?

Second, the OS you're installing has to have NVMe support.  Windows 2016 server would likely be the oldest version you can use that will have NVMe support.

If you're installing another OS - Linux, UNIX, etc. you'll need to look for drivers for NVMe support.  As is the case with Windows, only the newest distributions will have NVMe support.

I have installed Linux mint and now can detect the NVME drive.

I have also installed linuxmint on the NVME drive

However after installation I dont see it in boot devices to boot server using nvme

What could be the reason ?

While installing OS I could see NVME but however in boot devices I dont see any such option

Again -- what model system?  Unless it's a very new model, it cannot boot from an NVMe drive.

There's no way you're going to be able to use an NVMe drive as a boot device in a 5-year old system.

Same deal -- NVMe is 2016 technology.  You're not going to find anything older than that with NVMe boot support.
