Norton Antivirus 2006 CD not recognized by computer?!?

Hi there,

Has anyone encountered a situation where their Inspiron notebook doesn't recognize a Norton Antivirus 2006 CD when it is inserted into the CD/DVD drive?  I have tried 2 different NAV '06 discs and still no success with installing it.  I have played some regular music CDs on the computer without a problem, suggesting that there's no problem with the drive.

 

Any feedback on how to troubleshoot this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
