Problems with NEC DVD RW ND-3520A

I recently installed a NEC DVD_RW ND-3520A into my Dimension 4600 and I have only been able to burn one succseful dvd now every time I try right near the end of the burn process it stops and say that the drive has reset. please help me.
 
Part of the log entry for the error;

the jumper setting is set to csel, the DMA is off for my drive. how would I turn it on ?

Hi Rose,

A couple of things, double check the jumper setting when you installed the drive, Dell ships their systems using the Cable Select jumper features, so it should be on CS.
Then verify that you have DMA enabled for the drive, click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 15, articles 14 & 17.

Hi Rose,

Click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 15, articles 14 & 17, see if these help.
If not, then it is possible the drive may be turned off in the BIOS, so you will need to enter the BIOS and set the IDE channel to Auto or ON, hopefully the first or second artilce above will be the fix.
