Replacing internal HDD on Inspiron 3520

I am trying to replace the HDD on the Laptop but I don't have the DVDs it came with. Is creating a Factory reinstall disk (on a usb thumb drive) and a Apps and Drivers disk from the Dell Backup and Recovery application enough to start over? I am able to backup any personal files already.

Yes, the factory recovery image will permit installation if you change the drive (note though that if you're upgrading to an SSD, you may run into trouble if the SSD is smaller in capacity than the original drive)
