Sonic Solutions Record Now 7.0 (dual layer) download problem...

I purchased my dimension 3000 on 11-12-04.
and I currently have the Sonic Record Now 7.3 LE Software installed.

My dell support recommended that I upgrade my Sonic Record Now 7.0 application.

Since it gives me a "Get it" link, i clicked on it.

The link brought me to a dell download page...

I used the "Download Using HTTP" link on the download page.

Hard Drive Installation (via WinZip) with Setup.exe File for R90275.EXE

Download
1.Click Download Now, to download the file.
2.If the Export Compliance Disclaimer window appears, click Yes, I
Accept this Agreement.
3.When the File Download window appears, click Save (Windows XP
users will click Save) this program to disk and click OK. The Save In:
window appears.
4.From the Save In: field, click the down arrow then click to
select Desktop and click Save. The file will download to your desktop.
5.If the Download Complete window appears, click Close. The file
icon appears on your desktop.

Install
1.Double-click the new icon on the desktop labeled R90275.EXE.
2.The Self-Extracting window appears and prompts you to extract or
unzip to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R90275. Write down this path so the executable (I.e.
Setup.exe) file can be found later.
3.The Self-Extractor window appears.
4.Click OK.
5.After completing the file extraction, if the Self-Extractor
window is still open, close it.
6.Click the Start button and then click Run.
7.Type C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R90275 in the Open textbox and then click OK.
8.Follow the on-screen installation instructions.
I followed all the download instructions and it worked fine.

When I went to install, the self-extractor opens (install instructions #3) along with another window saying "The self-extracting zip file is part of a multi-disk zip file . Please insert the last disk of the set."

That window keeps me from extracting the file...so I am unable to continue...the instructions showed no indication of that window...so i am stuck.

What should I do?

tippmann2madness,

Thank you for visiting the Dell Community Forum.

I downloaded the file “R90275.EXE” and installed it and below is the procedure I followed to install it:

Click on the file “R90275.EXE” and then click the “Continue” button from the Window that pops up. A Windows should pop up for a location to unzip the files to, this should have “C:\dell\drivers\R90275” listed, just click OK. If you get a message that the folder does not exist, click on “Yes” to create it. The application should extract all files to the directory and give you a message that “All files were successfully unzipped.” Click on “OK”. Next the “Sonic DLA Setup” setup windows should open automatically, just click on “Next”, accept the License Agreement and click “Next”, “Next” and then “Install” and then “Finish”. Restart the system when it asks you.

If this does not work, there may be something causing a software conflict. You may want to try closing any extra software that is running in case something is causing a conflict.

First I turned off all the extra software I was running, which left me only with an internet window  (offline) that contained your instructions.

window (offline) that contained your instructions.

Your instructions were more accurate, but when I got to the unzipping part, once again two  windows popped up.  One says, "Unzipping File: Overal Progress....0....(then it gives an option to abort)". However, the other window pops up before that one, which doesn't allow me touch the other window until I deal with this one...it reads, "This self-extracting
zip file is part of a multi-disk zip file. Please insert the last disk of the set.... then it gives me the option to click 'ok' or 'cancel". If I press ok, the 2 windows close and I get a window that says i have received an error code of 110 and the files were unsuccessfully unzipped. If I click 'cancel' I get an error code of 190 attached to the same message as above.

Any ideas of what is wrong?
