Teac DVD Burner Update - No Floppy Drive!

Question

How does Dell expect me to install this update when I have no floppy on my Dimension 8300?  The only install option for this is FLOPPY.  I have a USB pen drive but the installer won't accept that.  Does Dell not realize that they SELL MACHINES WITHOUT FLOPPIES!!!!  Where does this leave me?

If you have a floppy drive from another system you can temporarily install it in this system to do the update then remove it.

Hi Cybertic,Ditto and to add with Jack`s, the current Dell release is a Windows Base Flash, the installation of a floppy is not needed. No, the link you gave is for A05, when the new version is A06.

Cybertic,

A05 is the Windows Base firmware (for those owners that do not have a floppy drive)
A06 is the DOS base firmware (for those that do have a floppy drive)
