Teac DVD Burner Update - No Floppy Drive!

How does Dell expect me to install this update when I have no floppy on my Dimension 8300?  The only install option for this is FLOPPY.  I have a USB pen drive but the installer won't accept that.  Does Dell not realize that they SELL MACHINES WITHOUT FLOPPIES!!!!  Where does this leave me?

If you have a floppy drive from another system you can temporarily install it in this system to do the update then remove it.

Hi Cybertic,
Ditto and to add with Jack`s, the current Dell release is a Windows Base Flash, the installation of a floppy is not needed. Here is a direct link:

No, the link you gave is for A05, when the new version is A06.

Cybertic,

A05 is the Windows Base firmware (for those owners that do not have a floppy drive)
A06 is the DOS base firmware (for those that do have a floppy drive)
Otherwise they are exactly the same, however here is the DOS link as well:
