USB 2.0/USB 3.0 Issue with printer only
Printer is HP Deskjet 1000 J110
Computer is a Dell Inspiron 3647
Operating system windows 10
Computer previously in use, printer previous in use, both working prior to being connected to each other. Printer won't print, but detects printer. Error states that Printer USB 2.0 is plugged into USB 3.0. However this computer has both 3.0 slots and 2.0 slots. Regardless have tested all 6 rear and 2 front USB. Same issue. Trade cable for a 2.0 cable still persists.
Following has been done as well:
Reinstalled printer software
Uninstalled & reinstalled Printer Drivers
Uninstalled & reinstalled most USB drivers (but not all)
Scanned with Dell's troubleshooting online and passed all tests.
Updated All available drivers from Dell including the intel chipset drivers.
Problem is still persisting and I am open to trying any suggestions.

1. 3rd party printer, but not suspecting a problem with the printer, have already exhausted options through HP, including downloading their hp scan doctor, as well as updating software and drivers. As well as this printer working when I connect to other devices.
2. Other printers work, but they are connected via the network.
3. Other USB devices (keyboard, mouse) function normally, but they are newer models and 3.0 compatible. No printers available to hook up using USB connection.
4. Same printer with a different dell system work just fine. (Also an inspiron 3647)
5. No error message is displayed, printer simply doesn't print. Only error messages come when trying to diagnose problem. Such as when installing printer software, HP's tool states that printer is not currently connected.
I will follow up with a private message.
Thank you

Robin. I sent you a message this morning, and have yet to see a reply. Perhaps the method I sent the message was improper. I tried to send a private message, but saw no prompt allowing me to do so. I could, however, send you a friend request with a message attached. That is what I did.
I'll wait for further instruction.
Thank you

Now that you accepted my friend request, I can send you a message. The message I had sent was attached to the friend request, which now that it was accepted, can no longer be seen. However, in frustration of the delay in getting this issue resolved, my boss bought a different printer altogether.
This is all moot now.
Thanks anyway.
