dimension xps t450 drivers
I have windows 98 installed but it has not been able to find any of the drivers. The original dell Dimension Resource CD has been damaged and does not seem to help when I put it in the E drive. Any suggestions? I can't get the Start Menu; etc. Do I need to download a chipset or other drives from Dell? I'd appreciate help asap. I've been working on this for 3 days!

JoeRay41.
To install the drivers, have you tried downloading the drivers you require and burn them to a CD. You install the "Chipset" driver first.
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/devices.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P03_XPS_T___&category=0&os=W98&osl=EN
You could see if there's anyone that has a Resource CD for your system and burn a copy of it, or take this opportunity to upgrade your sysem to XP, you should be able to buy a copy in the region of $85.00

What do you mean? If your question is can you install Windows XP, the answer is yes. If the question is can you boot with an XP CD to remedy your problem and retain your old OS, the answer is no.

JoeRay41, in order to install the drivers you must first know what hardware is installed in your system. Once you have that information you can go to the link that Bev provided and pick the necessary drivers from the list. Try going into Windows Device Manager and see if it lists your installed hardware.
If you decide to upgrade the operating system to Windows XP, XP will more than likely have all the necessary drivers already built into that operating system. It did on my XP installation.
Regarding the damage Dell Resource CD, have your tried contacting Dell? Try the number I've listed below.
Dell Spare Parts, Phone: 1-800-372-3355 ext: 69937, Monday thru Friday, 8a to 5p CST
