how to cd copy when my Roxio cd burner keep saying"uncovered read error" and eject blank cd?

Hi, I have a roxio easy cd&dvd creator with my Dell desk top dimension windowxp.
I tried to copy a language software(has video and speaking and writing fuctions in it), but whenever I tried to copy the original copy in the dvd rom and put the blank cd in the cd rom, this error massage showes up. I have a no idea what 's wrong. When I copy regular music cd , this Roxio program does fine. Help!

Look in the Device Manager and post the brand and model if drive(s)
that are in the system.  What Dell system do you have and what
Windows version are you using?

somehow message body doesn't recieve typing.but only in the message subject .So I struggled and finally disable Norton internet security. then some how I could type into this message body area. Also, lot of time once I am in some web site, and tried to open their hyperlink, I can't open either. I am using spybot and norton security system. I am wondering these causing the problem. Anyway going back to my priginal problem"can't burn copy of cd",:smileyvery-happy:Thanks for your respond, here is the answer:
      my computer is pentium4,dimension using windowxp professional.from device menager I found following: computer-acpi uniprocessor pc, Disk drives-Maxtor 6yo6olo scsi disk,Maxtor 6y120po. Dvd/cd-rom drive: nec cd-rw nr-9100a, liteon dvd-rom ltd163, processor-intel pentium4 cpu2.4gh

Is the disc you are trying to copy a CD or a DVD?  Are you using the Disc Copy
part of Roxio or another part of the package?

What is the name of the language software?
If it is a commercial program, they are usually copy protected like a commercial DVD.

Programs like that usually will send you a new copy of the program if your disc becomes defective and you follow their rules and regulations to register.
But you must send in the old defective copy.
And usually in their rules they mention you can't make a backup copy for your own use.

But read the fine print in the usage agreement that comes with the software.

Thanks.for your hint.
I didn't know it might be copy protected.
But I like to still make a copy version of it . It's a Rosetta Language program. They are so expensive to lose by any chance.
