Fail Support Assists PCI Bus - Functional Tests - D0701

Hi Everyone,

My Alienware R12 desktop gave a few beeps this morning so ran a Support Assist hardware scan. The following failure was detected:

Is this a major issue? Everything seems to be working ok otherwise. The machine is only 6 months old and is running latest BIOS supplied by support assist.

Thanks for you help

For customers with the Aurora R12, the latest BIOS update located here seems to resolve the SupportAssist error. Please note you might need to update/reinstall SupportAssist, but Dell-Cares received confirmation this seemed to fix this. If it does not fix it or you have a different system, please let us know.

The post from Chris is still is correct though, that ePSA should be run to confirm that this is not an actual error hardware error.

I have  the latest Aurora R12 BIOS update (v1.1.16) and it does not "resolve the SupportAssist error." The PCI Bus - Functional Tests - D0701 error has occurred since June 29, shortly after I installed the following:

       Alienware Aurora R12 System BIOS - 1.1.14 - 9.19 MB

Killer PCIe Ethernet Controller Driver - A39 - 54.05 MB

Before this, I had received no SupportAssist errors. So maybe the cause of the error can be traced back to at least one of these two installs.

I hope this helps resolve the issue.

On top of the PCI bus error, for the last 3 weeks I have not been getting updates via SA. It gives me an error. Has anyone else had this additional problem?
