How should I restore my backups?

I used the SupportAssist OS Recovery system to do the backups for everything and reset my laptop. However when I want to restore the backups, the application called File_Restore keeps not responding every time I tried to choose the archive, and the archive file won't open it says invalid file. I wonder how should I restore my files.

This forum series of posts might help. This looks to be an ongoing problem with little resolution. However some possible fixes are mentioned in the post.

Mate, your post has been so long ago and don't know if you were able to fix it, but I had the same issue as you and after searching unsuccessfully for a solution. I decided to try a few things, and it turns out that any file compression software WinRAR, 7Zip and so on, can be used to extract the archive zip file without relying on the Dell Restore Tool, which frankly is very problematic. As long as you have the full folder containing all of the compressed files, you should be good with just extracting the archive file alone, since they are all linked.

For anyone else with the issue
