BIOS (F2) > Supportassist system resolution . You can turn it off.
So next time your machine crashes or fails to boot, Supportassist hardware scan won't launch
But i think your problem is different
If it's in sleep and supportassist hardware scan is running on it's own.
Means machine is crashing during sleep
Use Hibernation time as 20
Also check in reliability monitor for last crash logs I am pretty sure the machine is crashing in sleep

Hi,
I set all the above to hibernate and the hardware scan is still running when I step away from my laptop. Any other settings that need to me modified?
Thanks
