Issues with new version Dell SupportAssist vers 3.4.5
I updated my Dell SupportAssist app earlier today, after being notified that a new version-(3.4.5) was available. The installation went thru smoothly without any errors. I've noticed the "Remove Viruses and Malware" feature is now enabled on this new version-(*this feature wasn't enabled on the earlier pre-installed version, 3.4.1.49, and I was debating whether to enable it, but hadn't thus far).
The scan runs pretty well, although the "Hardware Scan" still does not scan properly-(*this has been posted here on Dell and other forums before and apparently it's being worked on, so this is nothing new).
I noticed this evening after checking the new version one last time there is a notification posting at the top of the app window, stating; " You have 30 days left in your service contract" and a "Renew" button beside this. Is this renewal for the now added activation of the Virus/Malware removal? I already have McAfee LiveSafe and MBAM anti-Malware app as my security apps, already installed prior to this posting.
Also I've noticed I'm getting notifications popping up, repeatedly advising a scheduled scan is about to start in 20mins' or so when I've already set the scheduling in settings to cross over 2-5days, all at the same time of day.
This looks like an improvement to the app, but apparently still needs a bit of tweeking!!!

Disregard my previous post ref this topic. I've since determined that my Premium Support Plus-monthly subscription just started and this coverage enables the Virus/Malware feature on SupportAssist. Since this coverage is on a monthly subscription, it shows on the notification on the app how many days remaining on the 30-day cycle. Also the issue of repeated scans is apparently solved by just spreading the individual scan features over the entire week, rather than schedule them to run all on the same day and time.
