Bios MS-A10 today, I'm getting a notice that Windows 10 is not supported on the Inspiron 620
Hi MarkCBrantner:
This topic has been dormant for over 4 years so information in previous posts may not be relevant to your problem. What is your current operating system [if Win 10 or Win 11 include the version and OS build number - open a Run dialog box (Windows key + R) and enter winver] and has your Dell service warranty expired ***? Was your Inspiron 620 purchased directly from Dell or is this a pre-owned computer? Also, please provide details about what you are trying to do (e.g., upgrade your OS to Win 10, install a BIOS update, etc.).
*** NOTE: The Inspiron 620 was originally manufactured around 2011. If your Dell service warranty as expired then Dell-Cares will not provide customer support.
The Inspiron 620 support page at https://www.dell.com/support/product-details/en-us/product/inspiron-620/drivers states "Dell does not support Windows 10 or above on your device". That support page also indicates Dell only provides Win 7-compatible firmware and drivers for the Inspiron 620, so if the OS on your Inspiron 620 has already been upgraded from Win 7 SP1 to Win 10 that means that Dell will not provide any Win 10-compatible firmware or drivers for your hardware components. Win 10-compatible hardware drivers would have to be sourced directly from the original manufacturers (e.g., Intel, NVIDIA, AMD, Realtek, etc.), assuming Win 10-compatible drivers are even available for the make and model of your hardware components.

Also note that the latest BIOS update posted on that Inspiron 620 support page is BIOS MS-A08 (rel. 23-Jun-2020), not the MS-A10 version you are trying to install. If you enter your unique Service Tag at https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/products are you redirected to the Inspiron 620 support page at https://www.dell.com/support/product-details/en-us/product/inspiron-620/overview, or does this redirect you to the support page for a different computer model (e.g., the Inspiron 620s)?
