SA, latest version not working

I downloaded the latest version of SA (Support Assist) (Version 2) a few days ago. When I try to open it, it tries to load but won't load properly (icon just continues to flash and flash), with a message that optimization tools are loading.

The same problem occurs when I try to open it as administrator. There is no option to repair this app when I go to Settings. The only 2 options are "modify" or "uninstall"

This new version of Support Assist is installed on both my XPS 8930.

Is any body else having a problem with this latest version? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I have the same problem with my Inspirion 3668. But when I got to apps I am totally confused about what I am to uninstall and reinstall. There is as follows:

Support Assist version 1.2.0.0 - 6/13/2018

Support Assist version 2.2.1.23 - 6/13/2018

Support Assist Remediation 5/16/2018

Support Assist Update Plugin 5/14/2018

And everyday I get a notice when I start my pc that I need to run Support Assist. But it doesn't work. Which do I uninstall and re-install. Help!  Please

My Support Assistant tries to run every night and just hangs.  I emailed Dell..... I wonder if they will fix it or just wait for all of us to buy new computers?

Hello,

Please Go to Control Panel, programs and featured and Uninstall Dell support assist. If you see Dell Update and Dell Update Plug in, please uninstall it too.

Then download this:

http://downloads.dell.com/serviceability/catalog/SupportAssistInstaller.exe

It will work.

Having the same problem. I was also just prompted to download an Alienware update, and I clicked on it.... only to have nothing happen. This isn't good if this situation persists.

Thanks Pinkal K - it seems to be working. I downloaded the same one from the Dell website (or so I thought) and it didn't work. I'm wondering why they aren't giving us solutions for more official channels.

I have the same problem on my Dell XPS-15-9560.  When I try to run Support Assist, it does not respond and will not run.
