Support Assist hangs
For the last couple of weeks when I get notifications from Support Assist to update the Intel Management Engine Component installer, I click on the install but it keep hanging every time I try to install it. What can be causing this? Is it on your end or do I have to update SA? If not, is there a way to manually update the Intel Management Engine Component installer? Thank you.

I think I'm having the same problem. I've had my Inspiron 3880 for a week. This morning I booted up and Support Assist told me there were two Urgent and two Recommended updates to install. I clicked Install, with all the boxes checked. It's been running almost 5 hours now. All I see is a spinning circle in the middle of the screen.
Can I just close the Support Assist window and reboot?

Please try disabling your anti-virus/anti-malware programs. You can also add this folder as an exception:
C:\Program Files\Dell\SupportAssistAgent
Security programs are known to interfere with the SupportAssist program.
I hope this helps. Have a great day.
