I get just a tad further with it; The first item runs, finishes, then when the next item runs, it sits there forever and never moves off 0%. NOW, I cannot even get it to properly install, as the original poster commented.
If this doesn't work then try the second method: Please create another local admin account by following the steps on this link http://bit.ly/2MsQSkt Download the Support Assist application from the link provided earlier(If it says UI Mode not supported then download support assist from here:

Thanks to Sir Sreejith R, there is finally a fix to this very annoying problem! There is 2 method to try, the first method is:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Assemblies\C
Program Files|Dell|SupportAssistAgent|bin|SupportAssistAgent.exe"
12.Download SupportAssistx64-2.2.0.253.msi from:
https://downloads.dell.com/serviceability/Catalog/
13.Uninstall Support Assist
14.Install Support Assist from the Support Site
If this doesn't work then try the second method:
Please create another local admin account by following the steps on this link http://bit.ly/2MsQSkt
Download the Support Assist application from the link provided earlier(If it says UI Mode not supported then download support assist from here: https://www.dell.com/support/contents/us/en/04/article/product-support/self-support-knowledgebase/software-and-downloads/supportassist ) & check if this gets installed. Please right click on the file & run as admin.
