Support assist hard drive issues
Hi!
I have had my Dell Inspiron 13 7378 laptop for less than 3 years. Suddenly a week ago Support Assist decided it should run a scan (for the first time ever). It came up with these errors and when I try to click to fix it, it says I need to buy a new hard drive. I prefer to know more before just assuming it is something that can't be fixed. But I can't find any information about what these codes mean. Can anyone help? Should I just take SupportAssist's recommendation at face value?
- Targeted Read Test (SSD) - WSD06-4MX
- Linear Read Test - WSD02-EWN
- SMART Short Self Test - WHD16-LMJ
(The laptop needs a new battery as well, so I'm trying to figure out, if this is really a crisis, if I should buy one or if this is all going to add up to enough that I should just replace the laptop instead. But I didn't expect this one to die so soon, and I really like it.)
Thanks!
