SupportAssist Not Responding at Launch
I have an XPS 15 9560 Signature Edition with an Intel Core i7 7700HQ @ 2.80GHz, 16 GB of RAM, a 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and a 500 GB SSD. I have been having issues with Dell SupportAssist for a few weeks now, since the latest update, and need help. When I launch the program, the window pops up and stays idle indefinitely, as if loading content. If I click on the window, a message appears and says that the program is not responding. I dug through some boards and found that some dell moderators or some such were recommending uninstalling and reinstalling the program. I followed the steps to the letter and was just left with a messed up registry and a program that does not work. I couldn't even reinstall the program, because it says I have the latest version, even though I deleted every file specified within the registry and the program files. After I kept trying I was just left with a blue screen and needed to use the last windows save point if I didn't want to lose all of my files and whatnot. I still have the same issue and have not been able to solve it at all. If anyone can offer help, it would be quite welcome.
PS. Dell should work on a program that verifies SupportAssist's file integrity, rather than making me go into the registry and potentially kill my expensive computer.
PPS. I also ended up using Reimage to fix everything in my registry, although nothing could be done about SupportAssist, I assume because it's considered a third party program.

And same here - SupportAssist Not Responding on a 5-yo Vostro 270. And that's just after it had rebooted for a couple of intel updates via SupportAssist! Wanted to install a pending bios update.

First remove the existing application - Control Panel / Prorams / Programs and Services / Dell SupportAssist / Removal.
Then restart your computer (the shutdown is not enough).
Finally click on the link and install the application (run option).
The newest Microsoft Update (June 12, 2018 - KB4284835) presence required.
(Addresses an issue that caused the Spring Creators Update were incompatible with specific versions of PC tune-up utilities after installation.)

I was having the same issue with SupportAssist. It can be resolved by uninstalling and re-installing the software from SupportAssist page
http://www.dell.com/support/article/in/en/inbsd1/sln300789/dell-support-center-or-my-dell-do-not-work-after-upgrade-to-windows-10?lang=en
The problem got resolved.

I have 2 Dells. Both just over a year old. One a desktop the other a laptop. Both computers are getting not responding when attempting to launch Dell Support Assist. Both worked fine until I got a message on both computers to download a BIOS update an IMPORTANT UPDATE. After I updated, now both are unresponsive. I emailed dell for help. I told them what happened. Their response? I need to pay a one time 129 $ fee PER COMPUTER for them to fix it since it’s a software issue. DELL CORRUPTED MY SYSTEMS. This is EXTORTION. Dell did this in attempt to make money. Now I need to anti up 260$ to get my computers back to pre BIOS update condition. System Restore did not fix the issue. I am a 23 year client of theirs and purchased 9 computers from them……… Guess what my next computer won’t be?

Mine is fixed with suggestion below from Moderator.
I think my issues were caused by Cleanmaster nobbling SA in order for it to force you to use its paid driver download service instead.

thanks, this worked for me. All I had to do was log in after it started and confirm my profile and was good to go.

Just want other Dell users to know that I tried these steps on my Dell desktop and it resolved the SupportAssist not responding issue. SupportAssist ran fine.
