I want to know, did you installed SupportAssist Business solution on your system earlier?
Did you update system drivers or perform system scan through Dell Support site?
If yes and their is no SupportAssist Business version installed then SupportAssist for Home PCs version get installed on system that is by designed because Home users perform driver update through Dell Support site.
For commercial users, company IT admin push the driver as per their recommendations.
I'm getting something like this, too. On my Dell SupportAssist For Home PCs on my home computer. The window pops up and gives me a choice of Run Later or Run Now. Neither button works. It counts down and the window stays on my screen,blocking whatever I'm doing. It takes a while before the window goes away. Then it comes back half an hour later or so.... It's driving me crazy. I can't make it go away. Help!
The same version of Dell Support Assist is also popping up on my screen saying it is starting a scan in 27 seconds, counting down, then crashing. During those 27 seconds the popup cannot be moved, closed, or even accepted. This repeats every few minutes. If I try to manually start Support Assist it opens to a blank window. I cannot get Dell to respond to support requests either.
Additional information: When the current version of Support Assist reached my computer several days ago, it initially manifested itself as a warning about failing to complete some script, without any details, so I just clicked cancel or close or whatever the warning said. I think that happened about once a day. Then yesterday the scheduled scan message started. I believe the current release included a change to cause this issue. Is there a way to revert to the previous version of support assist?
More: this is an Unhandled Exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Hi Jessey,
I think you are talking about SupportAssist schedule scan here and everything is working fine regarding schedule scan.
Problem which you are facing that might be specific to your system and for that i would suggest you to get in touch with Dell Tech Support.
Dell TechSupport will always help you and in case they will not resolve your issue then they will escalate it to proper channel.

I believe this problem is closely related to https://www.dell.com/community/SupportAssist-for-PCs/SupportAssist-splash-page-keeps-popping-up-failure-to-load/td-p/7426504/page/2.

This started happening to me as well in the last couple of weeks. How do I resolve this issue?

I have the same problem and it's really annoying.
The only solution I found is the uninstall all 3 "DELL support" programs that came installed on my Inspirion 15 7000:
* Dell SupportAssist
* Dell SupportAssist Remediation
* Dell Update - SupportAssist Update plugin
The fact they need 3 apps for this utility is a failure in itself.
PS: updating my password on this forum was an adventure itself, running into 3 different problems on dell.com. What is going on guys?
