SupportAssist won't install

My SupportAssist wasn't loading properly, so I followed the instructions to uninstall and reinstall it.

Unfortunately, it won't reinstall.

I click on the download link, then click on the file it downloads. It tells me it is downloading files and quickly counts up to 100%.

Then it changes to "Getting application files" with a message that "Downloading and installing start-up files" and another that "depending on the speed of your PC, this installation can take several minutes".

But it just sits there for hours. I've tried it a few times with the same result.

Any ideas?

That is really helpful. I wonder if Dell will respond to this?

Is it possible to install .NET 5 even if Microsoft no longer support it, and still keep later versions of .NET installed?

Thanks, Imacri.

I had basically abandoned SupportAssist out of necessity anyway. Your pointer to Dell Update helped me to get my drivers up to date.

I hope that Dell get their act together soon. Next time I need to buy a laptop I'd hate to have to exclude them because their software is so poor!

Nope will not work on all 3 of my new pcs. Not today not yesterday and not tomorrow. Or scanning for driver updates- tells you to manually install.  I am fed up with it.
