Updating SupportAssist when Windows hangs / locks up
Windows 10 hangs on the login screen, or on desktop, and I am unable to run any applications.
Restoring to a different Windows restore point doesn't resolve the issue, so I want to use DELL recovery assistant to restore the original OS.
When I run recovery assistant it prompts: "We have detected that a new version of this application is available.
For the best possible experience, please update to the latest version"" All I can do at that point is press OK.
So I can't recover my OS. Updating recovery assistant requires running the windows app, and since Windows locks up, I'm pretty much locked out.
Why can't you update Recovery Assistant from a USB?
Cheers, K
