dell support assist
Hello does anybody know why the support assist does not run in my server properly? it only runs the first check concerning the drivers and it stucks at the second which is the search for hardware

There are multiple reports of the Hardware Scan not running, or running to completion very quickly, within a few seconds. Here is one such topic.
If you have McAfee Live Safe or Malwarebytes Premium installed, they also might be interfering with the Hardware Scan. There is also a topic on that issue that I opened on the first page of topic posts in this Forum.

I have the eset file server but even when I m shutting off same thing..

Sorry to hear that you are still having problems. You are not alone having issues with Scan Hardware. The only other thing that I can suggest is completely uninstalling the SupportAssist programs with a thorough uninstaller like Revo Uninstaller Pro, which removes a lot of registry entries, files, and folders that many program uninstallers leave behind. Then reboot and try to install it again, and reboot once more. Then see if it will work. If not, I am out of ideas.
