Root rights on VMware

Hi,

Just wanted to check if Root access is required when using this functionality?

Thanks for reaching out to us.

You can certainly use Dell SupportAssit to monitor you ESX systems and create support cases automatically. For this you need to have ProSupport warranty for you systems and for running diagnostics you can either provide root credential (and you need to enable ssh for root) or a sudo user credential.
