Can we create SRDF STAR setup with only 2 DMX Arrays?

Hi ,

I know we can create SRDF/STAR setup with 3 DMX Arrays but currently we have only 2 DMX Arrays , so is there any way to configure SRDF/STAR setup with 2 DMX Arrays?

Can someone point out any docs related to this?

I would appreaciate any kind of help.

That would be a NO, since the whole point of a STAR is SRDF/S between arrays 1 (production site) and 2 (bunker site) and SRDF/A between sites 2 and 3, where there's another link between sites 1 and 3 as well (I think SRDF/A as well).

So I guess you were planning on having 1 DMX to function as sites 1 and 3 or so ? You can't do SRDF within the same box.....

Hi Shubh,

We cannot create SRDF STAR with 2 DMX Arrays as for this data protection solution minimum arrays required is 3.

1)Primary Site - Production site

2)Sync Target -Data is replicated to this site syncronous replication.

3)Async Target- Data is replicated to this site using async replication.
