Flag Bit for FC-AL Mode connections

Jump to solution

Anyone know which flag to set to allow loop mode on an FA port on the VMAX.

It's the Init_Point_to_Point Fibre flag. When set to Disabled, the port is set to arbitrated loop.

Yes I just came across this flag earlier. So when the flag is left unticked is it disabled?

Thanks for feedback.

You can confirm the state via CLI with:

symcfg -sid xx -fa nn -p N list -v

Where xx is your serial number, nn is the FA number and N is the FA port number.
