Help! I need input on vmax and netapp coexisting on one server
Hi All,
Prior to posting here I looked on elab navigator and saw nothing mentioned about NetApp fiber channel storage and VMAX storage co-existing.
I am wondering if anyone has any interoperability info regarding connecting VMAX and IBM nSeries (IBM branded NetApp) to an AIX 6.1 LPAR.
These are vioserver LPARs, using NPIV and we are able to generate 'virtual' WWNs for each array.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this combination.

Hello Julianne,
So..We have no doc on this.I think it's well worth the time and effort to submit an RPQ for this.
This way it will get document one way or another and if you need support down the road, and have a approved RPQ there will be no issues moving forward.

Hi Julianne,
I have checked with the elab and it's not something we have tested, so to answer your question, no one has any experience seeing something like that up in this lab. If you are looking for documentation and or guidance I would suggest you submit an RPQ.But I am checking if we allow a mix to a vios with npiv. I am checking on that. Back in a few.
