you use this FA /host_hba flag when connecting HPUX hosts ..search Symmetrix forum for volume set addressing..you will see a couple of threads.

Looks like VDA is also known as VCM Dynamic Addressing, Dynamic LUN Addressing,Dynamic Addressing or Dynamic Host Addressing. (Primus emc167201)Thanks for your help Dynamox!
