Active Stylus issues
I purchased a Venue 8 Pro with Active Stylus earlier this month. The Active Stylus does not work and I have been unable to receive help from Dell. I have a hearing impairment so am unable to use the phone for resolving this problem. Chat and email are unsupported for the Venue 8, the people who work at chat support do not know who I should contact.
After I put the battery in the stylus, I opened up OneNote to try out the drawing feature of the stylus. A popup window asked whether it was a 1 or 2 button stylus - I only saw one button so that is what I selected. Afterwards I realized this is a 2 button stylus with a kind of rocker switch that operates both buttons. I am wondering if this is why the stylus does not work. There is a little circle that appears when the stylus gets close to the tablet, but that is all that happens. It will not select anything, or draw.
Thank you for any assistance in getting this problem resolved.

Onenote just gives you different instructions for a 1 or 2 button stylus, it doesn't change any options. The second button doesn't do anything anyway.
I get the 'circle' on occasion, and rebooting gets rid of it. The only other time I've seen the 'circle' is when I hold down the button on the stylus (one button erases, the other other makes the circle appear). If you have a constant circle, and it never writes, perhaps the button is stuck down? If you can't unstick it I'd say you need Dell to replace it.

The button is not stuck. The only thing the stylus will do is make the circle. It will not select anything, nor will it draw. I can't believe I wasted my money on something that will only make a little circle.

In that case it's faulty, and you can easily get it replaced by calling Dell!
