Case for Dell Venue 11 Pro

Question

I've been reading your posts and it is very frustrating to pay so much for a tablet and not be able to get a case to protect it.

If I come across anything I will certainly post it to this forum.

I bought an Ultimate Addons Samsung NC10 Briefcase Style Carry Bag Case a few years ago for my netbook -- which I have now replaced with my Venue 11 Pro and mobile keyboard, Happily the new tablet/keyboard fits neatly in my Ultimate Addons bag. The elastic strap holds iit securely against the side of the case and leaves room alongside for documents.

Further to my previous posting, while the Addon bag is fine for the tablet/keyboard, it does not have anyway of storing the charger, mains lead, or other small items like USB leads, SD card reader etc.

So now I've added the STM Scout 2 XS. (See http://www.stmbags.com/catalog/laptop-shoulder-bags/scout2-extra-small-laptop-bag/ )

This has a removable shoulder strap, a padded and lined pocket to hold the tablet/keyboard, and extra pockets for my leads and other items. It is very well made, and has been well reviewed by others. The size is just right for the Venue 11 Pro :emotion-2:

I do believe the question / post is for a folding case not a sleeve (open it up and use it as stand). Sleeves you get everywhere but no folding cases are available for the device. You have a lot of choices for every Tablet (like Surface, Venue 8 Pro) but none for Dell Venue 11 Pro.

I am actually stunned that nothing is available.

I just received this one. Its a folio type case http://www.ebay.com/itm/for-Dell-Venue-11-PRO-5130-PU-Leather-Folio-Smart-Cover-Skin-Case-Black-/400678073345?pt=US_Tablet_eReader_Cases_Covers_Keyboard_Folios&hash=item5d4a463401 It fits the 5130 perfectly with all the openings in the correct positions. My only complain is that there is too little clearance between the side panels and the screen , so that side swipe is harder but not impossible . To improve I think I will consider cutting away notches on each side just like what they did for the top and bottom. My concern is that the side panel will fray at the cut out places. Maybe I have to seal those places with CA adhesive.

Looks like it would have enough space to put the DV8P in as well to carry both.

What I really want for use at home is a good folding case with hard back cover not the ones where the tablet slides in because you always have problems with required swipes.

The small 3mm to 4mm gap is definitely not enough.

Hey Folks. I am still checking for V11P cases and found a new one which will be in stock May 7, 2014 at Amazon. Listing says will not fit Pro i core systems but I looked carefully at the layout. It looks like that both sides are not covered compared to others posted here and available at Amazon (others for 5130 will cover the power and other hookups and swipe will not work good). This one uses a hard shell back and the only problem will be the top because it will cover the openings on the 7130/7139. I ordered one to see if the top (because hard shell) can be easily cut out for cooling etc..). I hope I am not wrong but check yourself. Both sides where the bower button and other hookups are is completely free. I use the same case for our Venue 8 Pros and they are great. :-)
