DV10P Light Bleeding

Hi,

I  just got my Dell Venue 10 Pro (5055) yesterday and noticed immediately when I switch it on there's light bleed. I never bought dell before so I am not sure of what quality to expect. But here is a video of it

The worst one is on bottom right corner of the screen.

I have a DV8P here (not a 10") and don't have that issue; if I were you, I'd seek a replacement--that's not normal, by any means.

okay, did that.

Also, does anyone know dell replacement work? And how long does it usually take?

unfortunately I coudn't find the tablet at any retail stores here in Australia and so I bought it directly from dell. Which means that's the only way to get it replaced/fix. Personally would prefer they replace it but yeah, depends on what dell wants to do. Either that if they want to repair it instead, i might be okay with it if it doesn't take too long.  Hopefully I'll get a response from dell soon.

Personally, all other things being equal and possible, I would simply do a product return and exchange where I originally had purchased the device, if that was possible and easy enough to do.  Assures a new machine and not a repair.

Is the "light bleed" noticeable when there is an image on the screen?  I didn't see any at the end of your video.  If it's only there when nothing is displayed, what difference does it make?

If you have a full image, then no it's not visible. But that is if you have a still image. If you play a movie or videos that have dark scenes or black bars like in Netflix then yes, it is visible and it gets annoying watching stuffs with slight yellow tint line at some corners of the screen. It is alao visible on white screen such as Chrome and one note, and it looks weird, like some shadowy dark corner.

Edit:

Here are more photos of the problem on dark screen:

On these photos look at the bottom right corner.

These screens are from Windows 10 Upgrade, the screen are black mostly and the light bleed can clearly be seen

Does anyone knows how long does it usually take Dell Email technical support to reply? I've sent them an email about the light bleed 6 days ago (4 business days) and they have not replied. Also, I contacted them via the phone and they said they would call me back but they didn't. It seems Dell after sales service is pretty bad to me. Also, they said on their website that their call centres are available from 8am to 8pm Australian East Time and I called them at 6:24pm and got an automated response saying it's closed and it even mentioned on the automated thing it open till 8pm, what LIES!
