(1) Remove all the accessories like battery, Hands free and the charger and press and hold the power button for few seconds. That will release the static charge.
(2) Replace the battery and the back panel.
(3) Connect the supplied USB cable’s 30-pin connector into the 30-pin connector on the device.
(4) Connect the cable’s USB connector into the supplied USB wall charger adaptor.
(5) Connect the USB wall charger adapter into the electrical outlet and charge the device for about 4hrs until the phone is fully charged.
(6) Press the Power button and check if the phone turns on, pull out the slot door on the phone.
(7) Using a paper clip or other similar pointed objects push the power off button.
(8) Press and hold the power and sleep/wake button to turn on the device.

NOTE: This would reset the phone and the data stored in the phone will be lost.

Last night before you amswered my question I turned it off and did the pin reset as well as charge it but I left it charging while I was asleep then in the morning I held the power button to turn it on then I held the volume button down. Ever since then it has only shown the lights on the side.. Should I leave it like that or what should I do? Thanks again for your help.
There is also no way to get the back off for the battery.It is the Dell streak 7. I tried turning it back on this morning because the side lights went off and the same thing is happening again. I let it die then I unplugged the charger and hit the power button for about 3 seconds then let go and now I am letting it charge then I will do the pin reset will this work with the dell streak 7? Please get back to me as soon as possible thank you for the help.

Request you to follow the below mentioned steps-
