I have yet to try the new update myself but have both files on ice saved on my desktop. I wasn't sure whether to bother at all since my Dell Streak still works extremely well, by installing the update I could actually introduce a raft of new problems if it is bugg-ish. The members of the xda forum would probably give you the info you need as they are usually very well informed, here they tend to ignore everybody unless you ask them retardingly simple questions like 'what color the paint is on the office wall?' etc.

Any info you do find out please share with us modest Streak users.......Good Luck, dude!

Hi lohr500,

I wanted to check to see if you ever received any help in updating to 2.3.3? If so I would be very interested to find out the proper steps because just like yours my Streak 5 is also currently running ROM 351. I've downloaded 350 and 407 and had also attempted the same steps you had mentioned in your post. I'm guessing that there is more involved with rolling back to 350 from 351 but I am unaware of the proper steps.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

Thanks,
Richard

Hi Richard,

I am afraid I never got any further in updating!!

I think rolling back to 350 is possible but after trawling through several internet forums and postings I concluded that I was out of my depth using some of the processes suggested.

I am disappointed that Dell have not rolled out the update to 351 UK customers as presumably the bulk of the work must have been done to provide the 350 base update.

The Streak is a great piece of kit,(even though people take the micky when I am making calls!), so I will stick with it for the time being until something similar comes along that offers the same screen size in a smaller/lighter form and that has some degree of water and dust proofing.
