Tablet

I have a wireless tablet and just today I tried to connect to WiFi, and have encountered issues. I can turn airplane mode on and off but the WiFi mode I slide on and it goes right back to off. I can’t update it do any of the little tricks as I can’t hook into WiFi and it’s wireless. So any solutions or advice on how I can turn the WiFi on and connect to server??
