VENUE 8 PRO BSOD camera app
Is anyone getting a random BSOD when the camera app is opened or running in the background? If I leave the camera app open in the background or using it for a period of time I will sometimes get a BSOD and my venue 8 pro reboots. Not always, but its only related to the camera app.

Worked for me (so far). Thanks MIKERMAN.
This is the gest of the posts from that forum for anyone else looking to try this:
User KAVU2 posted on 9-3-14:
From Control Panel | Device Manger | Imaging Devices | Intel(R) Imaging Signal Processor 2400 ...
Choose 'Update Driver'
'Browse my computer for driver software'
'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'
Select driver version 603.9600.1948.27252 [10/21/2013] note: this is the latest version prior to the problematic 603.9600.2067.26305_A03
Click 'Next' to install the 603.9600.1948.27252 [10/21/2013] version
Restart computer, check camera to see if working.

In addition to last post, sometime front camera locks up, driver fails and white indicator light stays lit till reboot.

I would recommend that you have the latest Intel Platform Driver driver pack and BIOS on the system.

The camera driver is included in the driver Intel installer and has been updated.

Same problem here. Blue screen troubleshooter inside Dell PC Checkup states the problem is with the camera.sys driver. So far I have not been able to locate a new driver and because it is a built in app, I cannot uninstall camera and redownload it :emotion-6:

Great to hear! At least one person has then reinstalled the newer driver using the options there, and then had no problem.

I've had the new driver since it came out and it worked for a while, then just gave up. I'll roll ahead and try it again. At least if it crashes again, I now know how to fix it. Thanks again.

Isn't technology "fun"? A big LOL. Glad you're set, one way or another and with options.

Thanks for posting. This worked for me too. Discouraging that you have to downgrade to a year-older driver to get the dell camera to work, but what can you do.
