Venue 11 with mobile keyboard power surge

I recently got a Dell mobile keyboard for my Venue 11 Pro, which I like. However, I keep getting an error message about a power surge on the USB port. So far I have not noticed any issues with functionality related to this--the keyboard still works. But I am worried about damaging one or both devices. Anyone knpw anything about this power surge issue?
