Venue 8 Pro (5830) - power/charging port problem?
Typical - two 5830s go down in the same week.
On this latest one, the tablet isn't charging. I realise there are issues with the micro USB port on the Venue 8s, but from earlier this week, when I put the cable into the port, it does seem to start charging for a while (white light goes on) but after 10 seconds or so the light goes off & the tablet stops charging. Is this likely to be a port hardware problem, or something else I've overlooked? Bios, etc. all up to date AFAIK.

Can you try this adapter on another system and check if it works? When in BIOS, is the adapter recognized?
