My only hope at this point is the Qualcomm drivers that will be provided for Windows 10 has been updated and that this issue is gone. A work colleague is running Windows 10 since a little while on his V8P and havent got the issue however, he never got the issue with Windows 8.1 as well beceause he doesnt Stream/Watch movie on his tablet.
Don't just sit back and take it. Call tech support and make them deal with it. It took time but I got my unit replaced with a venue 10 pro. It works great. We spent money on a dell tablet for their support and track record for making things right. They will make it right in the end and maybe they'll see a trend and fix it.
Somewhat good news. I loaded the latest Windows 10 insider preview (clean install not an upgrade) and can report that the issue is indeed fixed using the default Windows 10 drivers. I had the issue very regularly as I used my tablet to watch Netflix and would have to reboot several times before I could stream a movie. Since loading Windows 10 the problem has not cropped up once in the past two weeks.
There is hope, I was ready to get dell to replace the tablet but like the size and form factor of this device so that was not really a good alternative for me. I hope that this trend continues as we move closer to the RTM version of windows 10.
I installed the Windows 10 preview tonight. I didn't have the same results though. WiFi died within the first half hour. My enable and disable trick still worked so I was able to get i back online right away again.
I've tried support many times for this tablet as well as the older version I had and Dell won't replace it for the Wifi. They won't accept the fault is on their end. I even bought premium suppoort with the new one just in case I had this same issue but they still won't warrenty it.
I look forward to new tablets in the same size, price and form factor and I'll just switch to another brand. Until then I'll just use my work around. I really love this tablet, just the WifI chip and drivers ***.
On a side note Windows 10 seems to work vey well on the tablet so far. I'm quite happy with the performance.
SO far since installing the official version of Windows 10 (from day 1 of release) I've yet to have my tablet disconnect which use to happen quite frequently. Updated all drivers, chipset, BIOS and wireless and performs great. Hopefully this was all it took to finally get it right.
The issue still exists on Windows 10. I've had to disable/enable/restart the wireless adapter multiple times to restore it each time. As for providing more information, we've provided as much detail/logs as are currently available. In order to provide additional detail, we've requested debug drivers or, at least, a driver update with more verbose error logging in this very thread. Unfortunately, nothing has been provided, so we're stuck.
How long ago was the last failure? I've gone almost 1 month before without the issue appearing before getting several instances within a few days. Thanks for your post!
The Wifi driver is still an intermittent issue for me on Windows 10. Aside from that though there is a bug in Windows 10 that prevents the CPU to scale back it's speed on idle which causes the battery to drain significantly. To me this is more of an issue than the Wifi and I do not recommend anyone who needs more than a couple of hours of battery life to upgrade to Windows 10 until this is/if resolved. You can find more information abotu this here under MKDR's post on 07-25-2015, 06:10 PM:
Windows 10 is working like a charm on my DV8P. I get the same or better battery life than when it was running Windows 8.1. A few friends have the same experience than me, no issue at all. I know that some people have battery drain problem but I dont think it is a Windows 10 bug otherwise everybody would have the same issue.
regarding the Wifi drop issue, the Qualcomm driver provided with Windows 10 is exactly the same version as the one we got under windows 8.1 so, yeah, the issue still persist.
I just noticed jare-hec's post and discovered that Dell has released new drivers for Windows 10. One of shich is a shipset/SPU driver. Perhaps this will resolve the issues I mention above. I will apply jare-hec's fix and update the drivers and BIos and rept back.
So tried doing the suggested "fix" I deleted driver and then went to run the "sfc/scannow" but the following popped up.
There is a system repair pending which requires reboot to complete. Restart Windows and run sfc again.
so I realized that windows update seemed to be repairing the driver cause when I would restart it the wifi would be on again and the file was there again in the "drivers" folder. So changed update to only notify of updates and that seemed to stop the wifi from restarting (there is still red x on the icon), but I still get same message when running "sfc/scannow"

It might help to give them more information to work with. If they can recreate the issue, then the odds of a fix should hopefully increase.

The following steps fixed the wi-fi problem for me and no more AR6K_FW_Recovery.log files have been created.
1. Download and save the wireless driver http://del.ly/6180B1crA
2. Uninstall Qualcomm Atheros Driver Installation Program then restart.
3. In Device Manager, uninstall and delete driver software for the wireless 1538 adapter.
4. Delete “ar6knwf81.sys” from C:\Windows\System32\Drivers. Delete “C:\Program Files\Cisco”.
5. Restart windows.
6. Run the wireless driver setup and extract the drivers
7. Go to “C:\ProgramData\Dell\drivers\5830_Network_Driver_RJCFP_WN32_3.7.2.859_A00”
8. Right click “Setup_MUP” click “Troubleshoot compatibility” run the program in recommended settings.
9. Restart after the wireless setup is done.
10. Connect to your WI-FI.
Done.

My last failure happened on 8/15/15. I applied the fix later that day and haven't had any problems since.

FYI. I did the upgrade from 8.1 to windows 10 and never had to install any Dell drivers. Everything was recognized.
I am curious to know, did you do an upgrade or you did a clean install?
