Automatic full refresh VMAX Unisphere
Hello,
I'd like to read list generation of snapshot throw VMAX 3 Unisphere REST API every 5 minutes, but Unisphere caching them.
How long Unisphere store cached data? Is there any REST API call, CLI command, setting, etc. for automatic full refresh?

Hi Tomas,
to answer your questions we store cached data for 24 hours, we run an automatic refresh evrey night at midnight.
I'm afraid there is no REST refresh command but you could potentially script for a symcfg discover to be run to do a full refresh if you wished.

Hello,
I try it when, but this will not refresh a snapshot cache. symcfg list show curent values, but restapi shows old values.
Do you hava some idea how to refresh database for RESTAPI?

Hi Tomas,
no I'm afraid REST works differently than SE in that respect and there is no equivalent of the symcfg discover.
Does the Snap give you a return code of 201?
As a test you may wish to create an empty SG and delete it straight after, if this does not refresh objects I would advise opening a CS ticket and our team will investigate further.
