Symmetrix Device RAID Protection in VMFS extents
Does anybody know if you can you increase a VMFS lun that is already configured with RAID 1/0 extents with RAID 5 extents ? Should the symmetrix RAID protection be the same on all extents ?

Thanks, looking at the vsphere pdf now..
The datastore's are not managed by our team. I originally thought the new device was going to be configured as it's own datastore not an extent.

that is a function of vSphere so it should not matter but if it were me i would keep the same protection.
