Vmax: consolidated health check automation.

I've been tasked with creating a storage health status report or dashboard for an environment of a dozen VMAX arrays in different sites managed by 4 different Unisphere instances along with 4 solutions enabler hosts used for CLI management. Just looking for ideas on how to approach this requirement. Anyone on the list use an off the shelf solution or has anyone on the list created one? I'm fluent in Python, Perl and Shell so scripting a solution is fine if that's the best approach. Here's a list of things I think I'd like to include in a health report.

1. Failed components
2. Front end utilization
3. Cache utilization, especially write pending
4. Capacity and metadata consumption above a threshold we'll determine.
