SRA command 'discoverDevices' failed.

$4E93580538421435.jpgHi

I was upgraded (EMC SRDF Adapter for VMware SRM) SRA from 5.5.1 to SRA 5.8.0 successfully. After upgrade I seen the SRA status showing error.

Error: SRA command 'discoverDevices' failed. Failed to connect to the array management host. Please check EmcSrdfSra logs for more information on the error.

Did you first upgrade the Solutions Enabler environment?  5.8 requires a minimum of 8.0.2 and is 64-bit.  The TechBook provides details on upgrading in Chapter 2 here along with the requirements for each SRA release:  https://support.emc.com/docu38641_Using_the_SRDF_Adapter_with_VMware_Site_Recovery_Manager.pdf

Drew,

Yes. First I was upgraded Solution enabler to 8.0.2 then I was upgraded SRA to 5.8.0 one site. Another site still have SRA 5.5.1. Next week I will upgrade SRA. Still I am suspecting because of SRA was not upgraded to 5.8.0 another site it may be the reason to show error but I am not sure.

So looks like you have a Solutions Enabler issue.

[ERROR]: [SYMAPI_C_NET_VERSION_TOO_NEW : The remote connection is refused.  The client cannot have a newer SYMAPI version than the server]

You need to make sure if you are doing a client/server setup that you upgrade the server software as well as the client.  Looks like your server is still at the previous version and not 8.0.2 so you need to upgrade it.
