vCD storage provisioning without UIM
In Vblock scenario, UIM will sit between vCD/vCenter Orchestrator and physcial hardware for storage provisioning. What about customer that is not using Vblock but VNX / VMAX only? Can vCD / vCenter Orchestrator or third party Orchestration solution (e.g. Tidal) automatically provision EMC storage?

That is a manual process. I am looking for way to automate the end-to-end provisioning without UIM

I don't think vCD/ Vcenter Orchestrator can do the provision job. That's why EMC devloped VSI and give it for free to help VMware administrator to manage storage.

Haven't seen any furthur upate on that though.
But while the plugin has not yet been released, the RESTFul api's for some emc storages have been made available and they can be called via VCO - https://community.emc.com/thread/126421.
