vSphere 5.1 web Client & VSI?
I'm looking high & low for documentation on this , but doesn’t seem to be available yet,
I have the 5.0 web client here, but it does seem that there is no VSI integration.
can anyone confirm if there is VSI integration into the 5.1 web client?
Wondering how SRM will work as well...
Thx!

We are re-writing the EMC VSI plugin for the VMware webcient. We previewed the next generation EMC VSI plugin at VMWorld2012. A copy of the demo is avaiable at: http://virtualgeek.typepad.com/virtual_geek/2012/08/vmworld-2012-emc-vsinext-flex.html
We don't expect the web client compatible VSI plugin not before the end of 2012.

VSI features like USM,Storage Viewer...etc regularly have new releases, release notes/product guides for the new releases will make clear if vSphere 5.1 will be supported (please stay tuned ).

No, there hasn't been. I can't imagine it will be much longer but we just don't know until it happens. 5.4 is still the latest version which was released towards the end of September if I recall correctly.

Sure thing! Well I don't know the roadmap (and if I did I'm unfortunately not authorized to speak to it publically) but if I had to guess it would be sometime between a month and a year. Sorry I cannot give you a better answer, maybe someone else can.

Thanks for the fast reply. Now does "near future" mean this month, year or....???

The first release of the web-client came out today, but it only supports ViPR-enabled environments. https://download.emc.com/downloads/DL49638_VSI-for-VMWare-vSphere-Web-Client-6.0.ova
Non-ViPR environments are not yet supported but it is coming in the near future.

This just went up a few minutes ago.
VSI 6.0 for the vSphere Web Client
non-ViPR support is coming "soon" as Cody said.
